Kenny Easley was more than a Hall of Famer and Seahawks legend. To Rise Up Academy, he was family.
​
In 1999, when Rise Up Academy was just an idea, Kenny was the first to believe. His very first donation helped open our doors, and for more than 25 years, he never stopped showing up. As host of the Rise Up Academy Celebrity Golf Classic, Kenny used his platform, influence, and heart to support children and families from underserved communities.
​
Kenny believed in lifting others as he climbed and ensuring every child had a fair start. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through the students we serve and the mission he helped build.
​
The Celebrity Golf Classic continues in his honor.

Our 2026 Celebrity Host - Eldridge Recasner
​
Eldridge Recasner is a former NBA player, University of Washington Hall of Famer, and Pac-12 Hall of Honor inductee with a career defined by leadership, discipline, and excellence.
A standout guard at the University of Washington from 1986–1990, Eldridge was a four-year starter, 3-time All-Conference selection, and team captain. He remains one of the most accomplished players in program history, ranking among the all-time leaders in scoring, assists, and steals, while setting records in free throw shooting and three-point performance. His impact earned him induction into the University of Washington Hall of Fame and the Pac-12 Hall of Honor.

Following his collegiate career, Eldridge was named MVP of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) while leading the Yakima Sun Kings to a championship season. He went on to play in the NBA with the Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, and Los Angeles Clippers.
​
Today, Eldridge brings that same level of focus, strategy, and professionalism to his work as a trusted real estate advisor in the Greater Seattle area. Known for his thoughtful approach and no-pressure style, he has built a reputation for helping clients make confident, informed decisions. As the 2026 Celebrity Host of the Rise Up Academy Golf Classic, Eldridge continues his commitment to community, leadership, and creating opportunities for the next generation.
